Shirley in collaboration with MAXXIS and Kraken RC are proud to
introduce to you the KRAKEN VEKTA.5LSE PRO KIT. Experience the thrill in
building and bringing to life this awesome 1/5th scale kit that
resembles Levi Shirley's 1:1 Class 4400 rig named Loretta as seen in the
King Of The Hammers circuit. This Pro Kit comes with pre-cut clear body
panels and pro livery wraps. Assembly required.
The
vision behind the KV5 is to create a new platform that is completely
unique. We believe we have achieved our vision with the VEKTA.5. It is
BIG and BOLD with only one word to describe it - “THE BEAST”! The KV5 is
an Independent Front Suspension and Rear Solid Axle design that brings
real-world fun and excitement to the 1/5th scale RC world. The KV5 uses
an “open design” in which everything can be easily accessed and removed
with minimal fuss. Installing an engine for example only takes a matter
of minutes.

- Chassis: Heavy duty 0.197" (5mm) 6061 T6 aluminum plate, detachable front assembly with many components intact for easy maintenance rear section designed like a roll cage trussed with five 10mm aluminum bars
- Drive: Four wheel, telescoping rear splined joint driveshaft allows easy detachment
- Center Transmission: CNC cut heavy duty steel pinion, step and spur gears, slipper clutch adjustable from top of transmission, transmission supported by two aluminum plates and enclosed by a Lexan shroud
- Front Suspension: Independent, heavy duty nylon arms, A-arm articulation supported by 8mm steel hinge pins
- Rear Suspension: 4 link triangulation design with two 12mm upper link bars, height adjustable rear trailing arms, CNC machined rear axle and trailing arms, all metal differential unit enclosed with CNC aluminum housing plate, torsion levers and 0.18" (4.5mm) diameter sway bar
- Shocks: 38mm aluminum body oil-filled, 8mm shafts
- Front Shock Tower: 0.31" (8mm) thick
- Rear Shock Support: Two 0.197" (5mm) thick vertical aluminum plates
- Tires: Kraken ATD (All Terrain Dominator) heavily treaded medium compound

- Air Filter: Plenum style filtered air chamber enables slimmer chassis design and future body iterations
